Steven McLendon
Assistant Chief

Steven McLendon has been a member of WCFD since 2000 and currently serves as Assistant Chief. He is also paid staff of Wesley Chapel VFD. Steven works full time for Concord fire department on Ladder 3.
 
Steven was born in Matthews and moved to Waxhaw in 1993. He graduated from Weddington High School in 2004, currently holds certifications of EMT, Swift Water Rescue Technician, FF1 and FF2, Level 1 Haz-Mat, Rescue technician, Ropes Speciality, High angle, Trench, and Confined Space.

Steven is a Level 2 fire instructor and is working toward his AAS degree in Fire Science Technology. Special training includes Leadership 1, First Due Engine Company, Aerial Operations, ICS, WMD, Vehicle Extrication, PPV, LP Gas, EVD, ERT, and a large number of Live Burns.
 
Hobbies include: Hunting, Fishing and spending time with friends and family.
