John Rogers

John Rogers has served WCFD for 15 years. He currently serves as Chief Officer.

John started in the department as a junior firefighter and has served as Training Officer, Captain and Assistant Chief. He has also served on the Board of Directors. In additon, he was a NC Forestry Service crewleader for 9 years.

John has completed most of the training for firefighter I and II and Emergency Rescue Technician. He has taken many courses including woodland fire suppession, fireplow tactics, LP gas fires, aircraft rescue and firefighting, radiologic monitoring, bus extrication and smoke divers.

He is a native of Waxhaw and attended Sun Valley High School. John's father, Ernie, served as a captain in the department. You will find many members of John's family helping at the BBQ's.

John is a employee of Frank Howey Farms.
